Development Prospects Of Conventional Power Transformers

Medium-frequency transformers have large production volumes and low prices, primarily driven by exports, which fuel their rapid development. Currently, the average industry price of medium-frequency transformers in my country's electronic systems sector is 0.626 yuan/unit, but most companies' average ex-factory price is between 0.20 and 0.30 yuan/unit, with some reaching around 1 yuan/unit.

The market demand for power transformers is strong. Power transformers are labor-intensive products, mainly produced to order. In recent years, domestic and international market demand has been strong, making them a rapidly developing and popular product. India is projected to grow by 25%. Communication, computers, and consumer electronics are its three main markets, with the growth in communication demand playing a significant role. Global annual demand for power transformers now exceeds tens of billions of US dollars, and is developing towards surface mounting, high power, and high voltage.

If amorphous alloy transformers can completely replace the new S9 series distribution transformers, for example, if the annual demand for 10kV distribution transformers is calculated at 50 million kVA, then more than 10 billion kWh of electricity can be saved annually. At the same time, it also brings significant environmental benefits by reducing the number of power plants needed and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, thus greatly reducing direct pollution and making it a truly green and environmentally friendly product of the new generation. In short, if the country can widely promote the use of three-phase amorphous iron core distribution transformers in the development and renovation of urban and rural power grid systems, it will ultimately achieve benefits in both energy conservation and environmental protection.
